Jonesy
You are spending way too much energy on something you care not about.
Junior psychiatry doesn't fit you well either. I spend hours playing poker with the guys. It's fun
and all, but I don't really care much. IOW, if I didn't play again with them, I wouldn't have any
problem. This is entertainment for me - another thing you seem to have missed in all your attempts
to climb up on your high horse. So, therefore, even though I spend time yanking your chain, that
doesn't mean that I give it another moment's thought once I'm doing my Real Life(tm) thing.
Quoted message said:Let it go jonesy. You puffed your chest, got called on it and cried no joy.
LOL. You got trolled, you bit, I played you, and you got ditched. You can spin it into something
more noble or meaningful than that, but that's merely *your* perception.
Quoted message said:You are not the first and certainly not the last.
Why is it, do you think, that folks treat you like this? Could it be a flaw in you?
Quoted message said:It's OK. You tried, it's over, move on.
LOL. Dude, I moved on a long time ago. Now I'm just having a little fun.
Quoted message said:Life is too short for you to fixate on something like this.
The junior psychiatry thing doesn't fit you well - you need to find another suit.
Quoted message said:Like you said bro, nobody here would miss either of us. This place is not real, that's why many
spend so much time here and act all tough sometimes.
No, wrong again. I spend time here because it's a nice break from waiting for my stuff to do it's
thing. And to talk about bicycles. When some a-hole starts spouting [censored] about folks breaking
girlfriend's arms and all that - then it's time to have some fun. Are you even tuned to receive the
picture here?
Quoted message said:Like you mentioned I stepped on my junk big-time with ol' man Daniels and "tried" to set it
straight (can't really "force" someone to accept an apology).
Here's a hint, Mr. Courage - try and find the words for a *sincere* apology. Like without any
equivocation. That's what people with real character do.
Quoted message said:Can't do it in private.
After being a [censored] in public? Nothing is more cowardly than shouting [censored] to the rooftops, then
slinking to the basement to mutter a half-assed apology. Your soapbox-climbing spiels on cowardice
and courage sure are rich. Especially anonymously - that's the one that really has me ROTFL.
Quoted message said:His listed email is not accurate.
So you swallow your over-inflated pride and say in public, "J.D. - I was way wrong. I shouldn't have
called you out in public, and I apologize."
Whether or not the other guy accepts - well, that's really not in your control. You only control
what *you* do. Character is about *you*, and what *you* do.
Quoted message said:My anger at the jd I do know is valid and still there (he IS evil; I won't bore you with ALL the
details).
Mr. Courage shows his stripes again. More cowardly innuendo. Yeah, your lecture on courage is sure
meaningful. Here's the fact, Mr. Wonderful: you're all full of B.S. and electronic courage, but
when shown the other side of the coin, you're indignant and full of self-importance. Your bald-
faced hypocrisy should be evident even to the most clueless.
Quoted message said:The jd here can just be an a-hole and that's not a crime I don't think (it's not in my code book
anyway!).
Yeah, and so can just about everyone. It's no crime, and some of what he dishes out is well-
deserved. Some isn't, but hey - nobody's perfect. Except you, of course.
Quoted message said:I could not feel like any more of a jackass (I'm not a big fan of being wrong) for being wrong
about jd, but you wouldn't know that since you didn't take the chance to meet and get some
perspective on the whole picture. There is no "unringing" that bell once you've struck it.
I don't need any perspective. You bashing him in private, where he's not there to defend himself,
ain't the most courageous thing. And hypocritical again - if I need to cut you some slack so that
you can give perspective, why doesn't JD get the same consideration from you?
But admitting you were a jackass is a positive step - and I give you credit for that as well.
Quoted message said:It's not important if you care. It's not important if we see eye to eye.
See, now this is just the kind of thing that gives me hope. That somehow, somewhere, some sort of
lesson can be taken from this.
Quoted message said:Honesty would be great, consistency would be cool as well though.
Well, I have been completely honest, if not forthcoming with ALL the facts, all at once. I have
heard that even the best plans do not survive contact, but with you, that law seems to have been
suspended.
In any case, you should refrain from lecturing ANYONE on character issues. They do not seem to be
your forte - I will refer you to the less-than-honest comment about somebody being "squeaky."
Quoted message said:There are very few people I DO wish ill will towards jonesy and you are NOT one of them. Since I
don't wish you ill it should not be that odd for me to hope you (and most everyone else) would
find peace and maybe even joy in their lives. Take it graciously maybe. Whatever though huh?
If I thought for a moment that you could choke down the lesson I have been trying to teach you, then
I would accept your comments at face value. I'm not vindictive or cruel, and I do not bear grudges
as a rule. I have always felt that there is redemption for everyone - you, Dave W., Scotty, Travis,
"Bob Rogers", even MJV. I always hope for the best from my fellow man. Stupid and pie-in-the-sky
thinking, even for an analytical fellow like myself. But you seem to have this spin problem that
needs fixing. Pull out of your spin before you crash - it's not too late.
Time will tell if you are sincere or not.
Quoted message said:Live well (really).
I am. I have a family that I love, and that loves me back - including extended family and those who
have married in. I have a job that I enjoy and pays me decently (or not, if you count up the total
hours per week worked). I am healthy and whole, and have free time enough to engage in the wholly
frivolous pursuit of 1track. I am young enough to enjoy an active life, but old enough to know my
limits. I am a white, educated male in the most prosperous and free nation on the planet, which
means that I am one of the most priviledged and blessed persons to have ever walked the Earth. If
that's not living well, then I really have no idea what is.
