The use of initials disappeared after a long fight with his state medical board.

    ..................

    Bob -

    I live in Atlanta, Georgia.

A group of four or five miscreants from another newsgroup thought it would be great fun to try to
get my license to practice medicine revoked. So they amassed a large number of my posts and then
took bits and pieces of them totally out of context for the express purpose of putting me in the
worst possible light. These they submitted to the Georgia Composite Board of Medical Examiners with
their request that I lose my license.

There was no "long fight" with the Georgia Board, but there *was* a two-month invesitgation. (The
Board took the complaint very seriously.) The Board enlisted the services of an investigator who was
very "Internet-savvy" to try to unravel things. He interviewed the complaintants - and through
Google - traced back every out-of-context quote to its in-context source.

The result of the two-month investigation was that there was no reliable basis upon which to
consider revokation or suspension of my license. The case was closed without so much as a hearing.

Around the time this was happening - and *totally independent* of it - I decided to close my clinic
to pursue an exciting research opportunity that presented itself and that I felt (and continue to
feel) could potentially impact the lives of thousands at once rather than one-at-a-time. (I had at
that point been involved in direct patient care for some thirty years without even the slightest
blemish on my record - no lawsuits lost, settled, or even filed against me.) The miscreants, their
efforts thwarted by the Georgia Board, concocted a story on Usenet to the effect that I closed my
clinic as part of a "deal" with the Board to retain my license. And now apparently Ear Rings (a Jew-
hater also known on Usenet as "Larry Lix" from Kitchener
    - BERLIN before the war - Ontario) wants readers here to think I can no longer call myself an M.D.
as part of this supposed "deal" with the Georgia Board. (The actual reason I don't use titles is
that I have come to find them off-putting on newsgroups and message boards.)

I tell you this just to point out that the trolls on this site - sci.med-cardiology - are rank
amateurs compared with the [censored] that goes on elsewhere in Usenet.

I hope that answers your question, Bob.

    ................

Bob, allow me to venture a resopnse to this question as well.

Some people - apparently Dr. Chung, Mu, and Ear Rings among them - believe that Christ is
intimatetly involved with all phases of life here on earth. They believe that Christ is the Son of
God, that He is the Messiah, and that He died on the cross for our sins. They further believe that
the only path to salvation is through Jesus Christ, whom they refer to as "Our Lord."

Some other people - I among them - believe *just as strongly* that the above is not the case.

The operative word here is "believe." These are matters of faith.

Almost all of the problems man faces today and has faced throughout time can be traced directly or
indirectly towards a lack of tolerance and respect on the part of those with one closely held set of
beliefs for those with another closely held set of beliefs.

It is played out here on this newsgroup - and it is played out everywhere in the world today.

Look on this newsgroup. See which players demonstrate tolerance, compassion, and respect for the
beliefs of others. They are in a very real sense "Christian" - regardless of which faith they
practice. See also who here demonstrates intolerance and lack of respect for the rights of others to
follow their own faiths. See who tries again and again - though numerous strategies - to inflict
their values upon those who believe differently. Those folks are Christian in name only
    - a title and nothing more.

    Just my $0.02 -

Actually, Dr. Nagler does have an active medical license according to the GA Medical Board Database.
However, it is a concern that he does not have an active "physician profile."

The operative word here is "believe." These are matters of faith.

Part of the definition of "faith" is the belief in something that cannot be proven to be true
(mainly in a scientific, material sense). Jews, by this definition, do not have faith. They have
firm evidence of Yahweh having possessed (but lost Ooops only one of the most important treasures of
mankind, the Ark of the Covenant and the Ten Commandments written by God Himself - boy, was that a
screw up royal or what?) artifacts, written history and various other direct links.

Hence, what faith does a Jew have?

If you say "faith in a Messiah", sorry, you arranged for the crucifixion of the Only One who will
    come for you.

    Btw, thanks for that.

Jesus and the Moneychangers. Ask Annas and Caiphas about tolerance, compassion and respect. Ask the
    Pharisees, the Sadducees, the Sanhedrin.

Better yet, go actually READ the NT before you spout off about Christianity.

You see, I have read, reread, debated, sought advice, etc on the OT but you, who haven't done any

Folks that religiously believe in the absence of something tend to hateful people.

Belief in the existence of something is indeed faith.

Look at those who hate you and your medical degree.

Look at those who would hate the 2PD approach.

Look at those who would hate Mu.

Look at those who would hate John.

Out of hate, these folks have the belief that Israel does not exist, that you do not have a medical
license, that the 2PD approach is fake, that Mu is a sock puppet, that John does not exist.

    Dear Stephen,

If you know the first commandment as Jesus did you will want that love for your neighbour because
you love them too. To give them that love in a way they can have it freely, you must be free of sin
yourself otherwise your beliefs will let them down, maybe not today, but they will another day,
maybe even when your neighbour is hurting most.

Jesus said He was the only way to His father, because this is the truth. He wasn't speaking to those
Jews who knew God, but to all non-believers, and those Jews who came from families who had long
forgotten God's place and were taking the title in name only (and there were very many!).

Can you fulfil God's second Commandment and know that without Jesus you can lead your neighbour to
Him at their hour of need? Will you be with them at their every waking hour; or will you introduce
them to God and leave them at their time of need to doubt Him as your own sins become magnified
    before them?

Jesus died so that you don't have to carry the burden of all men in a sin free life. He died an
excruciating death so that all men can be forgiven for their inadequacies and sin. He died because
He loved His neighbours and knew His Father in a way no other man has done, before or since. He knew
all men and their inadequacies, their children and their children's children to come.

Believing in what Jesus did for you 'personally' is not the word for what some people give to
unachievable expectations of others. The _only_ Christian way is to know Jesus, other ways are
    simply of another name.

Who are your neighbours that you would shut off their light? If _you_ can't be their light and
live up to that expectation, and you really do love them, then lead them sincerely to Him or
    remain silent.

Otherwise answer this. Who is your neighbour that you would know them at their time of need and can
answer their prayers? Jesus has too many to number.

    Carol T

Jesus said He was the only way to His father, because this is the truth. He wasn't speaking to
those Jews who knew God, but to all non-believers, and those Jews who came from families who had
long forgotten God's place and were taking the title in name only (and there were very many!).

He
knew all men and their inadequacies, their children and their children's children to come.

Why don't you have a current "physician profile" on the database per current board requirements?

    ...............

    I do.

But the Board gives you the option of not having your physican profile published. Since I am no
longer in practice, I saw no need to have my own profile published.

Would suggest you still have it published.

Glad to hear that the GA Medical Board have folks who are Internet-savvy

They take their responsibilities - both to the community and to physicians - very seriously.

    Praise God for that.

You remain in my prayers, neighbor :-)

    .....................

Andrew, please see if you can understand this. I am honored to be in your prayers. But I am sick
and tired of hearing about it. There is a difference between praying for somebody, which is a pure
and noble gesture ... and talking about the fact that you are praying for somebody.

It remains my choice to do both, neighbor.

The prayer is what counts, and I thank you. But talking about it repeatedly adds nothing
constructive to the praying itself ... and to me personally is offensive and off-putting.

The latter is a character flaw, imho.

Truly, you remain in my prayers, neighbor.
