Yes, it's somewhat ironic that, despite doing ten billion dangerous things in cars at high speed, he was killed doing something that I assume is less dangerous. It's a bit like how Brock had his worse injury rolling a go kart

Anyone have any goss on the Rohan Dennis saga? I note that the Police have gone for a long investigative extention from the court. I find this interesting. Its not an unusual tactic but a tactic nonetheless. It tells me that a) no one is talking (yet) and b) they dont like/trust Rohan and want to extend the pressure on him.

If this was an accident then the families would be all talking to each other and statements would have been made by all parties. You certainly wouldnt have the Police claiming 6 months to reconstruct a driveway incident that they could realistically do within 2 weeks.

Then there is the other peculiarity whereby Dennis walks to court alone. Either that is a massive own goal by his defence counsel or a reflection of the fact none of his own family want to stand behind him. Perhaps those antics are saved for when the court case proper commences. Not a great look in the court of public opinion though.

No gossip, but I don't think delays are unusual. The neighbours son was banged up for nearly 18 months before getting bailed. Found not guilty in court. In fact, the judge turfed out the most serious charges.

I think I might have had my worst celebrity sighting of all time on Tuesday. Was on a tram heading up Collins St towards Southern Cross when Ricky Nixon gets on. Winner winner chicken dinner! [censored] hardly aged, which is not a compliment when you've always looked 60.

Tell a lie. The worst was when I saw Pope John Paul II. He’d been dead 6 months and they had him on display under glass in St Peters. It was pretty [censored]. The Beatle Pope as people called him, which is odd as he was dead so should he have been John George I.

Saw Pope Benedict XVI as well. “Eggs” or “The Nazi Pope” as I prefer to call him. B16 to the wogs. Fortunately not dead at that point in time.

Can't say I've noticed it that much. She'd speak Italian, rode on a wog team and lived in Italy for a while. I don't speak Italian at all and literally more than half the street i grew up in was wogs, so she is doing better than me. There are groups of houses or even whole streets in Morwell that look like Italy. You could walk into the deli and now closed Vesuvius bread shop in Church street and hear nothing but Italian. Best bread I've ever eaten BTW, including Europe, and not the only person I know who says that.
