It seems to me that all the greats, Pantani, Merckx, Hinault, they didnt exactly spend hours pumping iron, and yet they managed to achieve incredible feats of endurance.

    I mean, whats the logic behind weight training for cycling. Are we really saying that building muscle mass is going to help us power up mountains and sprint to the finish line. Or is it just a bunch of nonsense about functional strength and core stability. Because, lets be real, if you cant generate power through your legs, all the weight training in the world isnt going to make a difference.
