ISTM that for 1:50000 coverage of the whole country Fugawi is cheaper than Anquet which is cheaper
than Memory-map and all 3 have some sort of height data.
Given that the maps themselves are standard OS products is the difference in the accuracy of the
height data? And if it is is that sufficient reason not to opt for Fugawi?
Or is the real difference that Fugawi is more obviously a foreign concern that the other 2?
It isn't just a comparison of the maping data, at least not for me, but it is also what you can do
with the software and how you wish to use the maps and other capabilities of the software.
Questions I can think of to ask are.
Do you want to use the maps with a GPS?
Do you want to both up and download to a GPS, tracklogs, waypoints and routes?
Do you want to archive GPS data and convert between tracks and routes?
Do you want to be able to easily edit and store waypoints and use them in different ways?
Do you want to exchange data with a palmtop? (What operating system?)
Do you want to use the software to compile interactive notes and diaries including hotlinks to
directories of notes or photographs?
Do you want a 3D projection of the maps with superimposed tracks, routes or waypoints?
Which maps do you want access to?
