  1. WNM week 3: Down 2.2 to 202.2 for 2 weeks since I never had
a WW WI last week. (the number 2 seems to be lucky today)

This makes a total of 43.4 since the end of april 2003.
My next mini goal is to hit 200. Should make that goal
within the next 2 weeks if I try really hard. (There's
    that 2 again).

In the NSV department: We were shopping at JC Penney's last
night. I went to the women's section but got side-tracked by
the bathing suits. Last summer I wore a 22W. I took an 18
and a 22 into the dressing room because I thought I would
need a 20W but could not find any. But NOPE! the 18W fits
    perfectly--not tight at all. I wish now that I'd taken a 16W
into the dressing room just to try that on for kicks.
Unfortuneately, the waiting time for the dressing room was
over 20 minutes so there was no way that I could get the 16W
and keep DH waiting any longer. I am hoping that sometime
this summer I can fit into the 16. Oh, and the suit was 50%
off. $70 suit for $35. Can't beat that.

SIA week 7: 3 Curves sessions

Between the bladder infection (now gone) and too many hours
at the office catching up from being off last week, I only
made it to Curves 3 times this week. Hubby does not
understand (yet) my need to hit Curves on the way home and
gets upset if I show up too late so I tend to not stop if I
am running late. I really should get in the habit of calling
him before I leave and telling him I'll be late.

  2. Congrats on all those two's that indicate not TOO much
    weightloss (G)

And maybe try that smaller suit, next time.

  6. What a great post Laura. So full of good news. I save a lot
of time shopping by bringing 4 sizes into the dressing room
with me: the size I think will fit, the size I'm currently
wearing (which is usually one or two sizes smaller than what
I think will fit) and the next two sizes smaller, just for
the heck of it even though I know they won't fit anyway.
Then I start by trying on the smallest size first, just to
prove that I'm only kidding myself thinking I could possibly
fit into that teeny-weeny whatever it is.

The funny thing is, I've surprised myself more than a few
times when that smallest item actually fit. As much as I
enjoy having new clothes, clothes shopping has become a real
chore. I know what you mean about not going back to find a
    smaller size.

  7. 2 is your luck number . Here's hoping for a good couple of
weeks so you make your next goal. Keep up the good work. I
know what you mean about coming home late and hubby, I have
the same problem. I exercise in the early am to avoid this,
could you maybe go to curves before work? Maybe a compromise
between am and pm workouts. Michelle Ozzie in Switzerland

  10. I like your plan of trying on sizes. I'll have to remember
that one next time. I still don't know what size I currently
wear. I'm stuck between the woman's 1X and the misses XL.
Somethings fit and others don't. If I'm in a hurry, I'll
grab the 1x because I know that I don't have to try it on. I
did take a chance yesterday and bought a pair of XL capris
at Kmart after WW and they are just a tad snug. Wearable but
snug. I like my stretch capris better but only wear these at
Curves or around the house. Wearing Capris is new to
me. I've got to get used to the idea that the pants are not
    too short. <g>

  11. Thanks Michelle. I wish I could change my workout time but
they only open up at 8am which is after I leave for work. If
they opened at 7am that might be doable. I just have to make
a better effort at not getting stuck at the office too
often. My daughter is joining Curves so I'll be calling home
each day I am going to stop on my way home so that DH can
bring her over if she wants to work out that day. This might
help eliminate the hassles at home.

2 is your luck number . Here's hoping for a good couple of
weeks so you make your next goal. Keep up the good work. I
know what you mean about coming home late and hubby, I
have the same problem. I exercise in the early am to avoid
this, could you maybe go to curves before work? Maybe a
compromise between am and pm workouts. Michelle Ozzie in

  18. I don't know what size you wear, but Old Navy had a few
styles in the shorter length (knee length) capris. My
daughter did buy me a longer pair, I opted to roll them up a
bit - still longer than I like, but cute. I'm older than a
teenager, probably why the styles are harder for me to
accept. I'm still living in the dark ages. <g>

Other than that, all I can suggest is a sewing machine. I
have altered lengths, although I don't enjoy it. Seems a
shame to me to have to pay full price for something that I
    am not happy with.

I'm totally with you on this. I'm only 5'2+ and the longer
capris just look stupid. I found some stretch ones at
Kmart that I can hike up a tad to just below the knee and
they look fine. I just wish I could find fancier ones at
that length. I'm going to compare lengths at kmart
tomorrow after WW (my weekly treat after WW especially if
I have a loss) to see if they have another brand that are
    the right length.
