  1. Hi,

A question for all of you out there.

Where is the best place to train in the UK?

The reason i ask this is because stupidly my club has asked me to ride in the national U23 RR, and i have agreed. I come back from france on the 27th June and the race is on the 11th July. i will be training hard in the pyrenees and need to continue in this country! but where?

The RR is in north wales, so lots of hills(which i like!).
Would somewhere like Yorkshire be anygood?

    Thanks

Yesterday I was up around Chipping and Clitheroe, in North Lancashire. Some pretty tough climbs around there. Also there's a place called Chaigley which is hell.

The best road racers generally come from Yorkshire, and the Peak District. Its noticable that the road racing in the south is a bit easier than in the North.

So try the Peak District, there will be loads of people to train with too.

  4. Cape Town 😄

errr ................ not in the Uk. I'll get my coat.

  5. yes,Malc elliott comes from Sheffield and he has done pretty well,so get up to Derbyshire some quality rideing up here, and friendly people!!(me included)lol.
