Is it just me, or is it somewhat disrepectful to make a
national jersey wearer come in 6 minutes in arrears by
towing an injured teammate? Although nearly everyone has a
domestique role to play, national jersey wearers should be
afforded some respect and be allowed to represent the jersey
in the best way possible. This does not include coming in so
far behind that the fans on the side of the road will wonder
what it takes to gain an Aussie national jersey if the
wearer is lagging so far behind on a flat stage. Send back a
more anonymous FdJ rider to do the towing.

As I recall, it was Pena's choice to fetch water bottles;
Bruyneel told him he wasn't obligated to perform domestique
duties while in yellow, but Pena wanted to. See:
