Deciding on this used/almost new bike as a starter bike for around $1200. However it's all stocked with Ultegra components, while brakes and shifters are Dura-ace and Mavic race wheels. Is $1,200 good deals for this, or can I find better?

Sounds pretty good based on the limited info, you'll never see that component set on a new bike for that price range.

Agreed. I ride a Specialized Allez but it doesn't have a grouppo or wheelset like that! That's a great value for the price.

So long as the bike fits and feels good on the road, that is a pretty damned good deal.

I see.. thanks. Ha ha, too bad the seller isn't too engaging. Maybe he's thinking twice about selling because of so.

This is a more detailed description from the seller.

shifters / break Shimano Dura ace
rear derailleur Shimano ULTEGRA
front derailleur ShimanoULTEGRA
crankset Shimano ULTEGRA

Wheels Mavic race
