I've had a quick look at the 2005 TdF DVD from SBS. While it doesn't
have any cuts to the cricket in it (!) it's not very good, IMO. It
seems to have been put together in a rush and with scant attention to
significant moves during the race. This is a little disapointing. It
comes across as being the bad old "last 15 mins of each stage" coverage
we used to get before the more complete stuff we got this year, cobbled
together with a bit of Tomalaris talking.

I'll get a copy of the World Cycling one and see if it's any better....
It'd be really good if the DVDs could take a more indepth look at the
race rather than repeating the last 15 mins of stages with generic P&P
commentary.

Nasty.... I'm still seeding most of the OLN stage coverage (bittorrent),
they are still popular downloads it seems...

I had a similar experiance with WCP's 05 Giro. I was hanging out to see Stage 19: Savigliano - Sestriere, yeah that's the one with the dirt rd climb with Savoldelli getting dropped. It STARTS with Simoni & Co nearly TOPPNIG OUT! So you get to see SFA:mad: Still a good watch thou.

I agree. I have a few old Tour tapes that knock over the boring stages in as little as a minute each, then spend 20 or 30 minutes for the good stages. I'd prefer a single DVD that did this, rather than the double DVD offering that puts you to sleep on all the flat stages, so you're snoring by the time a good bit comes up.

Suzy

I have a couple of classic dvd's from WCP and they are great. For the Tour of Flanders for example, you get 3 1/2 hours of footage, which a lot of continous reels of breaks, etc.
