A newly greased pair of bikes

Today's ride with my mate, Steve, was on my tourer. It was the first
time I had ridden it since having it properly serviced. WOW! It's so
smooth, slick and silky. Steve too was riding a born-again-virgin
tourer.

For anybody in the West Midlands, we started at Asda in Minworth. Rode
around the north of Sutton Coldfield (Falcon Lodge, Whitehouse Common,
Lindridge) then rode parallel to the A5127 to Shenstone. Lunch at the
Railway Inn, then off again towards Little Aston.

Entering Sutton Park at Streetly Gate, we chose to do a little bit of
"off road" (in the sense of 700C off road - not 26" off road), and
diverted through the Exmoor pony sanctuary. Getting slightly lost we
ended up on a magnificent single-track route, crossing numerous
ditches by means of wodden bridges (about a metre wide and two metres
long).

I thought I knew Sutton Park like the back of my hand, but this was a
totally new track to me.

At the Boathouse we turned towards Town Gate, and pootles into the
town centre for a Costa coffee.

An excellent few hours on a machine that felt almost knew.

Love and smoothness from Rich x
