I have to agree with two others here: Lose the alfredo idea. That's
one of a
list of foods (like fish) that should be served at exactly the right
moment,
directly onto the person's plate. ?It doesn't belong in a
buffet/smorgasbord
or whatever you want to call it. Obviously the extent of your fish
menu is Iowan Red Lobster.A little uncalled for.
As a "real life" fisherman, I never eat the stuff. Full of worms,
parasites and heavy metals.
Then why bother fishing?
If you don't know, it would be hard to explain.

It's nothing but tormenting fish if you have absolutely no intention of
eating what you catch. And, don't for a minute believe that catch & release
is the panacea it's been sold as over the years. Evidence is mounting that
it doesn't work all that well.
By the way, I'm an avid fisherman, in case you were about to spew something
about PETA.

Duh, s/he just told you. Fishing to get those worms for bait.

"Avid fisherman"? What does that mean, that you torment and kill fish, and
eat them? Do you consider yourself to be some kind of Saint?
OK. In that case I'll kill whatever I catch, and try to give them away.

I love fishing. But, if I know I can't or won't eat what I catch on a
particular day or in a particular place, I don't fish. Some waters around
here only hold pike. Sometimes I'm in the mood for pike and sometimes I'm
not. If I'm not, I go out in the boat and bring a book to read.

Try. OK. If not, you've wasted a life.

That's just not true. Fish, both hot and cold dishes, including
smoked/pickled, is one of the more popular buffet foods... among many
other affairs you've obviously never attended a luau. Most of the
dishes at Scandinavian smorgsbords consists of seafood.http://www.frommers.com/destinations/norway/0262020880.html

We're talking about hot food, not cold pickled fish, you putz. When
hot fish is ready, it's ready, and that general rule is good enough
for someone who thinks alfredo sauce is a good idea for a buffet.sheldon always ceases to amaze me.

No, but he certainly would roll in it. LOL.
I can't think I'd ever want an "Alfredo" dish in a buffet, simply
because it smells so bad second-hand, so to speak. Like fish ... like
broccoli ... like cabbage ... and a number of other foods which taste
great, but don't smell so good from a distance.

1. She said she was a fisherman too.
2. Isn't it sad that PETA has lost sight of their roots and just
fishes around for ways to torment people now?
