Aluminium or steel fork for mtb.

Hello!
In order to install a rigid fork on my bicycle (mtb mostly used in the city) I would like to ask you which one would you recommend to me: Aluminium or steel? Which one is better to ride?

I would sggest steel (cro-moly). You'll find it is more forgiving on your wrists, whilst still being nice and rigid.
