Anybody Have a Appedicitus - What to expect Getign Back On The Bike

Hi folks,

Possibly not the correct forum, I'm just back home from Hospital where I had my appenfix removed. Per the Dr.'s "no cycling" for four to six weeks. I was wondering if anybody has gone through this. Kind of kills the late cycling season.

I had a hernia above my navel repaired at age 30. Couldn't run, swim, do pushups, situps, etc. Thoght swimming ight be good, but thought I'd break in half first time I tried it.

Cycling was great and started it a week after surgery. If it hurts you, you'll know it. You might make the scar keloid though.

Was parachuting a month later.

You want to keep from straining, but light to moderate exercise was no problem for me. If it hurts, choose an easier gear and "keep on riding."
