Here is just one more example of how the Canadian Cycling Association repeatedly shoots itself in the foot.

Rather than simply have their new web site appear when it is ready, they go to the trouble of announcing a date or time frame for it and then fail to meet the deadline they set for themselves, highlighting another failure.

Failure is what the CCA is good at.

Remember the old adage, it is better to remain silent rather than speak and remove all doubt.

Nobody is waiting impatiently for the CCA to re-vamp their site. Nobody really cares. When it is ready just bring it on-line. Why tell viewers about it and then fail to do it?

Dumb, dumb, dumb.

That's what happens when you hire amateur to do professional work.

This is systematic of the entire association, staffed with amateurs and neophytes.

September 25, 2006 (Ottawa, On) - The Canadian Cycling Association is pleased to announce that its new web site will be launched next week. Totally redesigned, the new web site will be more user-friendly, more informative and will be offering, among other things, a new photo gallery. Stay tuned!

October 5, 2006 (Ottawa, ON)
– The CCA website will be completely revamped in the coming days... Stay tuned!

January 2007 we will probably still be waiting.

October 10: no new web site but another notice:

The new CCA web site is coming up with a new design, content and photos. You will have an opportunity to become web-assistant and send us your comments to improve the new CCA web site!
Oh, I'll have a few suggestions!
