built a bike what you guys think

My tires say 120 lbs. psi. Do you think it will matter if I run them at 100?
Thanks in advance.

You have tires that say things to you? Somebody call Guinness, better yet, pass me a Guinness. My tires only talk to me after quite a few beers.:D

To answer your question, yes it will matter. Your bike will feel and handle differently. I'm guessing 120 psi is the max rated pressure. You may very well benefit from a lower pressure depending upon your weight, road conditions, riding style, etc.

If this is some weird setup question for our dear friend steelem, please disregard all of the above.

I hate the look of BMCs and I would still take bobbyOCR's bike over your bike, based on the components used.

Not my case, I'm poor but I accomplish to own and proudly ride a 2006 Cannondale Six-13, full Dura Ace, Mavic Ksyrium SSC-SL.

i got one of them too - nice bike

So ive been reading along these last wonderful days but unfortunantly have no idea what a plank is
anyone care to fill me in

BTW i just built a bike
2001 Principia Rex
Full 9spd Ultegra
Thompson post and stem with deda elementi bars
had 26h rear 32h front ultegra wheels
and just got a pair of shimano r560s
admittingly i did not but this bike and then imdiately replace all the parts so i guess it wasnt a real professional build. j/k Jhis thread has been great for reading at lunch keep it up. That really is the bike i just finished though.

lol 50s man - b4 you make comments you might wanna think about upgrading your own shitty bike - i would'nt be seen dead on that !!
I wouldn't see you dead on that, there are many people in the world that I'd let ride it, but you are definitely not one of them.

This is like a Carbonguru relapse but more fun.

Besides, somewhere in there, you called SRAM ****, vicariously calling your own bike ****. Not great.

I bet you use a helmet mirror.

If I recall correctly, it is what steelem wipes his butt with. I think it's somewhere around page two of this thread: http://cyclingforums.com/t-428484-15-2.html, 105 vs Ultegra vs Dura-Ace.

You should really learn about your audience before making such comments. You do not know what I own, or what I've ridden. You do not know what kind of bike experience I have. I've most likely ridden more bikes than you've seen before, some of them with wheels that cost more than your entire setup. I work in a shop, and I have the experience, both first hand, and from encounters with customers, to know that your bike is nothing special, and that bobbyOCR does have a nicer, more reliable set up than you do.

just bought this bike & what a major dissapointment - it seemed really heavy & the 34/50 shimano 105 was nothing like my other cannondale which is a dura 53/39 - so i decided to rebuild with this frame pls take a look at the before & after & tell me what you think - awaiting wheels so will be ready next week hopefully.

before

Carbon Synapse frame and S.A.V.E carbon forks 2008 fitted a Shimano 105 groupset.
Wheels- Shimano RS-10
Tires - Vittoria Zaffiro, 700x23c.
Pedals - N/A
Crank - Shimano FC-R600 Compact 34/50
Handlebar - Cannondale C3
Stem - Cannondale C4, 31.8mm.
Headset - FSA Orbit Si.
Seatpost - Cannondale C3 16mm offset, 31.6 x 300mm.

after
Carbon Synapse frame and S.A.V.E carbon forks 2008 fitted a SRAM Force groupset.
Wheels - Mavic R-Sys
Crank - SRAM FORCE 53/39
Pedals - Look Keo
Handlebar - Easton Ec70 Carbon
Stem = Fsa os 115 carbon
Headset - FSA Orbit Si.
Seatpost - Richley carbon Pro

Listen Synapse boy, enough of this trash. If you like your ride, I am really happy for you. But there was and is no need to demean, put down, or insult members just because you don't like their answers or don't agree with their comments.

Suggestion, the moderators should ban Steelem.

I second the motion. He has started a war on every thread that he has posted on. It has been entertaining though:D !
