any special hints on adjusting brakes on a new carbon wheel?

I thought I had them lined up correctly, but they are very "grabby"
and have uneven braking force as the wheel rotates.

I'm using the proper carbon brake pads suggested in the manual.

thanks

Carbon rims can sometimes be a bit "grabby" until they break in. I noticed
that with mine (Bontrager Race ***-Lites) but a customer who'd had them for
a while told me just hang in there; after a couple hundred miles they'll
feel great. He was right. Might not even have taken that long, and now I
notice no difference between using them vs the standard aluminum rims on my
other bike.

The strangest thing is that, after 8k+ miles, I'm still on the original cork
brake pads.
