A colleague of mine owns a 10 speed Dawes Lightning. He's wondering if it's
saleable. Does anyone know this model?

If that's 10 speed as in 2 at the front, 5 at the back, he might get £40
if it's in really good nick. Possibly more if the frame tubing is 531.
These old frames need a bit of work to get them going with modern
gears, and unless the tubing is good no-one bothers. They're often
quite good for fixed wheel conversions, but that's always done on the cheap!

That won't please him, as he's just spent £50 on a new wheel!
