Hi, Im a noob here and I came in need of help.

I got a new '03 Norco Drop downhill bike with Shimano LX's.

Overall its a great bike, but after a few rides the chain skips at rear also the falls of the front sprocket onto frame. Is it the chain stretching? I dont really know how to adjust the tension if it is.

The deraileur's are strait and not bent...

    any help is appreciated!

    Thanks, great board here!

If the bike is brand new, it could be cable stretch.. usually bike stores give you a free 30-day checkup so the derailleurs and cable tension can be re-adjusted after the cables have had a chance to stretch out.

    I fixed it!

I was a bent link in the chain...so simple, one teensie weensie tweak and all was fixed ( some lube helped too )

    Thanks for the reply Rek.
