I had the same problem... getting disc brakes. It is the humidity BTW, there is not much of a fix, soak your pads in rubbing alcohol and degrease the rims.

Thanks Gabriel - I'll try that when I encounter such a problem again.

I don't think it's Humidity here, where I come from we're about 3000m above Sea level and Humidity is not much of a problem here.

Softer blocks worked for me

Anyone know where I can get springs for V-brake levers in South Africa? New or 2nd-hand.
