Suggestion 1: Go with clipless Suggestion 2: Go for the Eggbeaters. IMO the best clipless for
touring. Suggestion 3: Diadora Voyager shoes. Walkable, touring shoes with recessed cleats.

Cletus, Why do you think that eggbeaters are the best for touring?

Simple design, simple low profile cleat. Recessed into a walkable shoe, they (and SPD) can manage
the occassional off bike tourist thing with out damage or damaging the nice museum floor. 8 entry
points as opposed to one or two on SPDs and others. Easy entry and exit.
