When I rode fixed I had only one brake lever and b*ggar all
else on the bars when riding no-handed so brake levers and
shifters are valid items to include and not to be assumed
as fitted to all bikes, but I think to be regarded as
street legal one hand and one brake lever have to be the
base point.

I too was just thinking "what about hands?". Mine has
brakes too, and gear levers, nyah. And cork tape - that's
gear innit? A total of 10 bits of gear & I don't even have
a computer. Sometimes I hang a supermarket bag on it, but
calling that gear that would perhaps be stretching a
point...

Ok then, 2X bar ends + 2X gripshifts + 2X brakes +
original 5 = 11.
