Other than that I can't be sure.

If I could find green spokes to go with green hubs and the already
mentioned green rim, the wheels would look very cool. Even if the
greens aren't quite the same greens the overwhelming green-ness would
make up for it.

When I worked in Manatee County the fire trucks were bright lime. Still?

The theory is that fluoroscene in the paint job makes
the large truck with air-horn, siren and Xenon strobe
lights _more_ noticable. In practice it is impossible
to penetrate the defenses of the typical oblivious and
invincibly ignorant car driver.

If you could pull it off everyone in your neighborhood will be green
with envy. Maybe you should hire a consultant to make sure your well
coordinated. I struggled a long time deciding on nipple color to go
with black hub and rim, finally going all black, and lacking proper
contrast. rim/spoke/nipple colors with pewter hubs is esp hard, and
all silver with the blue hubs just doesn't look right, but that one
goes on the singletrack where no one sees it, thankfully. Picking
colors for ornate historical houses was easier.

Actually they'll mostly manage to not care about my color scheme since
the hubs are going to cost more than most of them can even imagine
spending on multiple complete bikes.

The cyclists, however, they're mostly going too be drooling about my
having a custom frame. And in context of the frame they're really not
giving especially much of a damn about my purchasing something that,
gosh, at least four or five people in the province already have.

It isn't that I'm specifically trying to one up people on the flash
bling scale but I have a slightly wider range of shopping resources
than anyone short of the bike shop manager, the Shimano rep, or the
coach and, of the three, I think the bike shop manager is the only one
who actually has to pay money for his bling. [censored] Yi's mom and dad
might be willing to drop 46,000rmb on a T-mobile team replica bike but
_I_ had the first pair of eggbeater pedals (nashbar special) and the
first Cannondale (secondhand).

you could try alternating yellow and blue. that could be really
cool. your bike coordinates itself as you go faster.

theory, but it should work. if you build your own wheel you can do it
a a minimum of cost. you could also build a miniature prototype (e.g.
painted toothpicks and a rapidly rotating disk). you might get a
green fade as the spokes go from the hub to the rim. though each
radii would the same speed to distance traveled relationship, the eyes
might perceive a difference.
