some more shocking anti motorist rhetoric...

I saw it. It wasn't a laugh a minute. The only positive thing was that
they didn't show the lorry driver (a very disturbing young man) carping
on about cyclists---he did have a go at every other road user and he
did, of course, declare himself a good driver unlike all the women and
foreigners. I'm sure if there had been a cyclist doing something in
camera shot he would have had something to say.

Much of it centred on the NW (of England) motorway network and the
Highway's Agency having to manage it---hence the lack of cyclists. At
one point HA officers had to break up a fight on the hard shoulder
between two motorists who had some dispute about who had priority.

There are some angry drivers out there.

they didn't HAVE to, they chose to... which seems a bit of a daft risk
to take if you ask me. Just call the cops...

more disturbed than disturbing.. there are loads of people like him out
and about. It's all society's fault though, probably. Young men like him
are very confused by advertising, women's role in society, their own
failure to engage with themselves, all that stuff.. he'd be better off
doing a different job I'd have thought. Something where he could meet
real people instead of sitting stweing on his own all day. Bit like that
bloke wot sells mortgages, he should get himself a real job nearer home.
How is he ever going to feel manly, sat down all day pushing bits of
paper about? No wonder he's such an angry young chap. If he went out in
the woods at weekend, got a fire going and made himself a brew and a bit
of stew and dumplings, he'd be much more at ease with himself. Or
something..

.... probably get arrested under the laws introduced to combat illegal
raves. Or aggravated trespass. Other than that, nice idea.

It WAS a laugh a minute - or pretty nearly.

There have been similar programmes in the past. Remember the one which
included a salesman who said that he and his wife burst into tears when
he arrived home after being allocated a diesel Austin (can't remember
the model)?
