I don't think squirrels fly but some do glide a bit. My mate was quite taken by it himself being a bit of a parrot fan.

There really is an African Grey Parrot living in the wild near Keele, Staffordshire though.

I understand it was one of my neighbours, who got too old to deal with them and has since died leaving us to suffer.

My mother (Beckenham) has had parakeets in her area for getting on for a good couple of decades now. When she first mentioned it I couldn't help wondering if my normally non-drinking mama had been hitting the bottle. They may be more colourful, but they are not necessarily good news, either for those with apple orchards, or even just apple trees in their garden, or for native species of birds which want to nest in holes in trees.
