Not sure that I agree with the part about not offending others. There are plenty of things/issues/pictures/sayings, etc, etc, etc that I may not find offensive that others do. That isn't my fault... Its kind of like the current tirade the FCC is on (not to start another topic:rolleyes🙂, but if you don't like it you can not look at it (change the channel dammit), or realize that the person wearing the tattoo probably doesn't have anything at all to do with your life anyways, and move on with your own. I have plenty of tattoos, and have never once given thought (or cared to give thought) to what others may find offensive. My tattoos are strictly for me, and if others don't like them that is fine. Just my .02.....

I'm thinking of getting a tat myself. I like the chainring idea, but i'm thinking getting it done just above my ankle, about 2in size. It'll be my first tattoo and i've been pondering the idea for a while... To heck with it, riding is my life!!!

OK, tribal to me is anything abstract that appears to be geomteric in form. In general it can be what you have summised.

but hey, i don't want to step on anyone's toes.. if you have a neo-tribal tattoo i hope you enjoy it and that you're proud of it.. because unlike a bike, you can't replace it every few years.

Have two upper arm tattoos - butterfly carrying a black rose for my dead children, and a bird. surrounding both are the names of my five living winders, my beloved children. relatively small space, easily covered by tshirt should I wish to be discreet.

I often say I stopped having kids when I ran out of arm room😉

I have a tattoo on my back of a music staff w/ a dove at the top and comedy and tragedy masks on the bottom. (Yes, I'm an artsy kinda gal) I love my tattoo. I want another one of a medicine wheel with a different rune at each direction point. Being in the military I can't do anything too drastic at least not where it could be seen in uniform 😉

Ive got two...
My first tat is on my upper chest along my clavicles that says Start Today
The other is in my inner bicep and its of derek hess' valentine.

I have 9. Most are celtic, and all are original pieces of art. 5 of them have to do with my family. 1 for each of my 2 kids, 1 that the wife and I both have, 1 for an anniversary, and one as a representation of my entire family. I would have alot more, but the wife about flipped after the last one. It covers about 40% of my lower leg.

Really? I just saw a girl in a store that had a bunch like what you are talking about. So many people have this now. It seems like the more the better. The full jacket. I like the way it looks on some people.

Unfortunately, I don't have any tattoo but ever since I broke my leg, and being left with two enormously big and long scars, I have been planning to do some tattoo. I have not seen anyone having any tattoo so far being associated with cycling, but I would surf the internet a bit to find out if there is some tattoo that will fit into my scar and also say a story about me, along with having to do with cycling.

How anyone that's read more than a paragraph about Che could get a tat of his likeness inked on them defies logic.
