Trek 5200 or Colnago Dream B-Stay?

I currently own a Colnago C40 and would like to get a 2003 Colnago Dream B-Stay for racing. But I like the idea of Trek 5200 Carbon frame for under $1000 used. Would it be wise to stay with the same geometry or would it be smarter to get the carbon fiber frame for about the same cost of the Dream?
