  1. Maybe you're right. I hadn't thought about it that way, but it does make sense. His being ill was a
financial strain too and we'll be recovering from that for sometime I'm afraid.

Think post-traumatic stress. It's like an earthquake followed by the aftershocks. Or the second
and third and fourth waves of grief that come on the anniversary of a death. Or the nightmares
that war veterans can have for years after coming home. The initial trauma/stress you experienced
(and overlooked because all effort was focused on your husband's trauma and recovery) may still be
working its way through your system.

  2. WooHoo Julie! 2 pounds is a fantastic loss - congratulations to you! Hey, did you see my daughter at
Galyans? <G> She was the teeny little thing taking hours to figure out if she should buy one
particular item. The girl loves shopping, I refuse to go with her. For some reason she felt the need
to go to Shaumburg to Galyans ... instead of the one in our backyard. Kids! LOL

    Hi everyone,

This week finds me 2 pounds lighter.

Yesterday I went to a Tastefully Simple party. There were samples of each of the products that were
for sale. I'm not sure what the calorie count was, but it didn't much matter to me because I wasn't
hungry for the rest of the day. Friday we went shopping at Trader Joe's. Today I spent the entire
day chasing down bowls that I could put in the broiler because I wanted to make French Onion soup
(Williams Sonoma for under $3 each!!) and I also came up with an interesting Devilled Crab Salad
recipe that is pretty decent in points and quite filling and tasty. In short, it's been a food
    filled weekend.

Today's warm weather inspired me to go to Galyan's (sporting good store). I picked up some goggles
and a kickboard for the pool. I haven't decided when I'll start yet, but I'm making steps. I also
parked far away in the lots today because the weather was gorgeous (56 F according to my car).
