Should the US Govt Fund USA Cycling?

Right now, USA Cycling gets minimal funding from USOC and thus the US Govt. The Australian Cycling development organization has a budget 3 times that of USA Cycling.

In order to grow our sport, attract young riders, and develop those we have, would require more money for indoor & outdoor velodromes, programs, equipment, PROFESSIONAL coaches, etc.

Should we provide more funding for it? What programs should be cut to provide the funding?

British Cycling had a similar problem, and had great results in Athens. True they did get more govt funding, but what they did best was recruit corporate sponsors and build a network within local cycling clubs to build a strong core of cyclists and funding to help new cyclists (it is an expensive sport.)

You're bloody mad aren't you. Give money to British Cycling Organisation. The bloody things corrupt and always has been. Jesus I could tell you some tales about the last 45 years of the Bungling Cycling Federation, and pocket lining. What have they ever done to promote Road Racing? It's just as bad now as it was 45 years ago.
Get off your **** and train 5 hours a day, learn French, get over to Europe and race.
