Funny thing, I'd never heard of that behavior before last night, when one of
my coworkers told me that HIS dog does that. He's got voles in his lawn, but
the dog is assiduously digging them out and arraying them on the front
porch. I forget what kind of dog he's got, but it's NOT a border collie. I
think it's a mix of labrador and golden retriever. It's an extremely
territorial dog; my coworker says that the dog's attitude is that if any
animal walks onto his property, the dog is entitled to kill it. He's gotten
into conflicts with some cat-owning neighbors because of that.

Breakfeast is the most important thing to have in the morning, it is
what makes you respond more quickly to others who dont eat breakfeast. I
agree though eggs are pretty disgusting, especially the scramble ones.

They were bred to be hyperactive. Fifteen years ago, one of them decided to
show me how much it appreciated my arrival at a friend's house. It jumped on
me and with its claws, removed the left half of a very expensive suit
jacket. The owner was aghast when presented with a $500 bill.

Well, Missy is a mix of chow and border collie but I have to agree with
you. She has been a joy for 18 years. She's got the best and worst traits
of both breeds. The chow is usually a one person dog (she picked me even
though it's Steven's dog). OTOH she is totally protective of every living
thing in the house including the cats, a border collie trait. I found that
unusual because (from what I've heard) chow dogs don't like cats much. And
she herds us all around. It's hilarious when she tries to herd the cats.
She always gets swatted but it patient as hell with them.

just tell really love and appreciate their dog's unique traits.

It's funny, each of us (DH and I) both thought that our dog loved each one
of us the best. You'll never tell me that she didn't love me best! :-)))
It's been almost 20 years now since she died, but I still sometimes dream of
her and we still mention her often. Sigh!

Hoot is my cat and chose Steven (I nursed her for months on baby bottles
and antibiotics. I took her bloods and vitals in the middle of the night.
She hates me). Missy is Steven's dog and chose me. Ramsey is definitely my
cat... Period. Bart the stray living in the garage is no ones cat but I'm
sure she likes me best 😉

not that the HS is doing anything about. All they are doing is operating the

bite people, often for no reason at all. They train their owners to do
things which without the presence of a dog would be considered illegal, like
trespassing and littering. It's only right that they should be fined
annually, just for having these animals. I agree, though, that the license
fees should go elsewhere.

A neighbor of mine 'walks' his Weimeraner on everyone's
lawn, no leash. Dog even goes into my yard if the fence
is left open. I almost popped out to shut the gate after it so

They do if they've been declawed. What's more, they do if they're

I've politely asked dog owners, **with** cleanup provisions in their hands,
to NOT stop their vermin on my property, and some of these scum have
actually tried to debate the issue with me. Once you've been asked to leave,
it's trespassing.

I'll grant you, it IS difficult to train a BC not to jump, up but I've
managed to do it. It's taken me 2 years tho'. <lol>

If you value a stupid piece of cloth more than a loving, living animal,

My sisters cat is like that.
Little [censored] would bite/scratch with no provocation.
He's been permanently deprived of his claws and testicles due to that.
It's helped, but he will still hiss and be nasty.

None of mine, not a single one, do that.
Cats take on the personality of their owners. My sister.....

They dig in flower beds and [censored] in them.
They dig in children's sand boxes/piles and [censored] in them.
