So what do *you* always make sure you have in stock?

    First - the coffee
Second - the half and half
    Third - the bagel.

    Otherwise, don't talk to me.

YIKES. I wake up happy and talkative. Probably die waking YOU up. 😉

    Andy

Nope. Just bring me a cup of coffee - with cream, then I'm a
    sweetheart. Thanks!

    70+ % cocoa dark chocolate

    Elmer's glue

Since I love to supermarket shop and flirt, it's no biggie to run
    out of stuff.

    kili

But of course! It's prominently featured in most of his food posts 😉

Yes, it is *very* good. That's what we use now.

I just got some of that. I totally agree. I am tempted to get more
(as it is a seasonal item at Costco), but I will wait til I get back
to NM. I hope they still have some there....

I love NM style green chile. I adore it. Green chilies+water+salt+
    corn starch.
Yes, a NM native freely gave me the arcane knowledge. That's like
    treason or something, right?

I always have two levels of backup on that one. I keep cans of
evaporated milk in stock as the first level backup and a jar of
powdered creamer as the second level backup. Failing both I'd resort
    to tea.

I like milk in coffee and keep a can of the condensed stuff as a
backup. Ran out of milk the other morning and I punched a hole in the
condensed milk (in date) can and nothing came out. The contents shook
like normal liquid. I punched a larger hole in the can and when I
shook it "chunky style" milk glopped out. It had absolutely no smell
to indicate it was spoiled. I wondered if it had been overheated in
processing or was the residue in the canning machinery.

Did you really mean condensed milk, rather than evaporated milk?
Condensed milk *would* glop out, to say nothing about being sickly
    sweet.

I had a boyfriend whose father would use condensed milk (gag, shiver)
    for his cereal.
Makes my teeth itch to think of it.

My grandmother used it in her tea. Even as a small child I hated it.
    Ugh.

Heinz Ketchup. I know that's not news, but I refuse to run out of the
stuff. I always have at least one extra bottle at home and at work.

Reminds me of an old joke from the Reagan era:

Following the outstanding success of the "Just Do It" ad campaign, Nancy
Reagan concocted a slogan to combat homelessness:

    "Just Buy A House"

Reminds me of a sign I saw in someone's office ...

Come in, state your business quietly, then leave.
This way no one has to get hurt.

Made me a laugh. At any rate, I woke up to Bryan's routine
every morning for many years. No, it wasn't Bryan bringing
the coffee. I sure appreciated that coffee and not having to go
    get it.
