  1. The weather has turned [censored] here in the last hour, cold, wet, drizzly, windy, looks like it is about to [censored] rain. Which should make it fun for the riders racing over the windswept bergs into Licola in the Tour of Gippsland this afternoon.

  2. I am so glad I took my washing in this morning before I left for work.

It never entered my head that that could be dangerous. Thanks for the heads-up.

Im on the WHS committee at work and did a risk analysis of just this scenario. You have to be prepared for any eventuality

I could have articulated it more, but 2nd place under the circumstances was farking solid! The 4th wheel we expected to drop at some point had to hang in and fight. He was IN THE BOX so hard, the fight he put in was twice the pain the two of us on the front were in. Poor [censored]. Was excellent! hahaha

Hmm, I see. All this TT stuff gave me nightmares. :-) I had one of them standard dreams where I had to start something, but was far from ready. I dreamt I was 5 mins away from starting a TT, but wasn't dressed and was still putting my aero wheels on. Then I realized that everyone had ridden in a skin suit, yet I didn't have. I complained: "I'm not farkin riding without a skin suit if everyone else has used one." I jibbed it and didn't do it. Ha.

I've had a million dreams like that, mostly about racing and gigging.

  5. Uh oh. Lama down.

  6. At least the pin held.

    Corgi's are the new diamonds.

  8. Llama up! Shiv down. Downtube looks just like my right clavicle.

Damp final corner 200m from the line. Had a bit of a lay down once the front wheel went from under me. Good times. Still got on the podium at +17 sec, day not wasted. 🙂

  9. Were you inspired by the recent TdF antics?

Ah [censored]. I thought you meant like your clavicle had previously. But nup, currently. Bugger. If you fancy a bus ride around Sydney......

I'll keep spelling it Lama. It makes you sound smarter.

  12. Home now. Specialist tomorrow. Mrs Lama caught me on the indoor spinning the legs to check out how other [censored] was holding up. Still rolling across the line for 3rd (and 1st masters) wrapped up the win in the ITT aggregate this year. woot!

Now... wtf to do with all this couch time when I can't even lick my own balls!

  13. pron time for you! [IMG ALT=""]http://www.cyclingforums.com/content/type/61/id/289013/width/500/height/1000[/IMG]

Sorry Jono. I guess having caught up with you within a few weeks of the nebulous breakup of what has been the best relationship I've had so far in my life, I was a bit emotionally 'tamped down'. It WAS civilised, and I perhaps more civilised and cool than I normally am. I'd say I'm normally more irreverent and fiesty than you met me. But I can feel my energy levels raising again this week, so maybe you can even take some credit for that. Very nice to meet you finally, and looking forward to next time when we're both in better form. And the fartographer's coming over for a roast dinner tonight too, so really, I have to say life is alright.

  18. Your 4th?!?! [censored]! Was it a TT?

  19. Yeah, lost the front end on the final corner 200m from the line. [censored] knows how. Did three 90deg turns and two U turns prior in the race. Picked a nice line, almost clipped the witches hat, had heaps of room if I misjudged it.... sailing though the corner and about to look up the road to open up the final kick to the line... before I knew it the front just stepped out and I went down like a sack of [censored]. Might have been too much air in the front for damp conditions. Dunno. My own fault. I was done with the sport for about 2 minutes. Will be back on the indoor early this week. 4 weeks from NSW Masters TT, 8 weeks from Masters Nats. Will be hitting those hard, as planned.

Aren't you glad you're one of those musclier rouleur/sprinter types with meat over their bones? I certainly am.
Actually I'm neither of those these days. I'm far too lazy.
