A friend of a friend let his [censored] bleeding go for only a few weeks before he went to the doctor (or so he says), yet the cancer had still managed to almost get into one of his vital organs (I can't remember the exact details). He's only in his mid 40s. It looks like he's gunna be fine, coz it didn't spread beyond the bowel.

I'd be the opposite, but I'm a bit loopy.

In fact, I had one of those "beetroot poo panic" moments a few months ago, because I knew I hadn't eaten any for ages. I farkin freaked!
I was dialing the GP's surgery when I saw the empty beetroot juice bottles in my mini recycling bin near the back door. I forgot that I'd had a stack of it before the previous evening's ride.

Beardy man's beard is more impressive than I remembered. He may even have won a prize for it

Yep get it checked, cancer grows fast. One of my mates had a melanoma chopped off 25 years ago. He found a pea sized lump in his armpit just before last Christmas, and five weeks later it was the size of a golf ball and has since had a bunch of lymph nodes whipped out. Pathology suggests it was a derivative of his original melanoma. Lucky for him it was all contained in one lymph node.

Hmmm. To state the obvious...again.... the purpose of vehicle registration is NOT primarily to aid the public with identifying potential lawbreakers. By that logic, many 'types' of people should display registration, such as kids on skateboards, teenagers walking late at night with hoodies on, city 'beggers', etc, etc

Pretty much. A couple of parking nicks in the paint here and there but pretty mint for a 15yo frame. The paint is surprisingly tough. I was doing drunken circlework holding onto a street sign the other night waiting for the pedestrian mates to catch up and eventually went too fast and slammed the downtube against the pole. I was half expecting a dent but not even a scratch.
And it was a mates place. We were making furniture. He'd reupholstered that piece earlier. Shame you can't really see the curves. It's hot. [ATTACH]342.IPB[/ATTACH]

The paint on Belgian bikes is remarkably good. I've got an old merckx brochure somewhere that detailed the paint process. Something like 7 coats. An anti corrosion treatment, couple of coats of primer, paint then clear coat.

Vermarc (concorde) and Ridley were essentially paint shops to start with. Ciocc made the concorde frames and shipped them to Belgium for painting

Yeah nah, it doesn't really matter. Ti will never rust either way. It's the best bike I've ever seen, let alone owned.

Yeah. Sorry. 8 speed left shifter if you were paying attention. I'd always thought it was 2002 born unitl I just started posting pictures, and now I think it's more likely 1999 or 2000 based on the paint scheme.
I do have all the bits to go 10 speed except the cog for the shifter and the desire to lose reliability.
