  2. Quite a few NRS teams folding. This is interesting. It is [censored] expensive to run any kind of team, time and money wise. Interesting times ahead if they want the NRS to be (or remain?) the pinnacle of the sport in Australia. Struggles ahead all round.

  3. Cruel Sea on rage. Most pretty excellent ok good.

  4. I saw that U2 show at the MCG and thought it was a pretty amazing show for its time with all the tech gimmicks and [censored].
But if you are looking for deeper meaning from a stadium rock band then i guess you will always be disappointed.

Nowhere near the best concert I have seen though.

  5. I was at the same concert. I thought they sounded [censored]. Was down on the turf and the sound was bouncing off the southern stand so u heard the [censored] twice. Then they [censored] off for like 25 minutes and came back on so that [censored] Bono could ring that other [censored] Derryn Hinch. It was [censored].

Also, Big Audio Dynamite were the support act and they weren't just [censored]. They were Werribee.

The best bit was walking back to the car and stopping to hand feed a possum thirst lifesavers.

George Thorogood and the Destroyers in 1988 at the house of stoush was a way better gig.

Saw them too in Traralgon. They weren't very good. They had a spastic on the mixing desk and the sound kept breaking up into white noise. Tex Perkins looked [censored] and stoned and he kept dropping his mic stand. Every muso in the valley was there and none of them were impressed. Was a pretty [censored] crowd numbers wise though. I think Del the Funky Homosapien drew more people when he played .

I can't help thinking things are in massive decline. Half the races on the NSW calendar were down on entries by 50%. Even the TOB has yet to fill and it used to sell out in minutes.

Just not enough new bodies coming into the sport. I'm tired of playing the same game year in, year out, and attending races where the events are in organisational decline. Don't quote me on that though, I'll be stoned to death, again.

Racing in Perth was nice. New courses. Different people to race with. There's a few Vets races back home I might do in place of Bright. One is two lap handicap around Arapalies, then up the [censored]! Sweet! That's something new.

I'm feeling the same thing and the woeful handicapping in NSW was the nail in the coffin for me. I always wanted to do a marathon so I have decided that 2017 will be the year. I might even make a big deal of it and do it in Berlin. Now if I can only get my health in order, as it's driving me insane.

  10. Soooo ..... what about that E-bike that can do 45km/h?

  11. Yes, I noticed. 😄 It's great fun dropping guys on motorised bicycles. :P
Topping out at ~45km/h isn't that fast with a really strong tailwind on flat or dipping roads. Ha.

Coincidentally, I saw one the other night on North Rd. He said it had a 250W motor and also pedal assist. I tailed him for a while as he was doing about 40, then I spoke to him at a red light, and HE was the one puffing his guts out. Ha.

yeah, yeah, pat meself on the back. 😄

  12. I think they have a place for people with health problems.

There are a few guys on the BV forum who started out on electric bikes and subsequently moved on to "normal" bicycles as their health and fitness improved

Or guys that used to race and are now fat fcuks. I should buy one before I snap my Cannondale or end up with some weight weenie titanium seat rails stuck in my rectum.

  14. Nasty crash at Ballarat.

  15. Yeah, ouch

  17. Which one swampy?

  18. Whats the moaning 0:02 - 0:04? Has she flatted at speed and just been forced to lay it down? Or has she crossed over wheels, off balance and not been able to follow the lead wheel drifting to the right and had a leftside lady lay down? or mental breakdown? sugar coma perhaps? Sometimes the ladies just look so eager to lay it flat - if its a flat single at least muscle it towards the grass love!!

    ok stack though. 6/10.

One second look it just seems to be the old chestnut in womens cycling where they get within 20cm of each other as it bunches up and they start going a bit cray cray and laying all over the shop.
