Anyone else watched the new season premiere of Walking Dead?

Its full on. I actually think the yanks have lost the plot when it comes to depicting graphic violence on TV. It would appear they fail to appreciate the consequences of deminishing emotional responsiveness.

On another point - Trump has the election in the bag.

That's probably consistent with a lot of team sports???? Or maybe cricket has been around so long it's a living anachronism?

Yeah, that's true come to think of it. The one I've seen the inside of seems to be run along the lines of a modern corporation. All the [censored] still happens, but they have policies to make sure everyone is polite about it. And the AFL is probably one of the most politically correct organisations in town.

Can't speak for the local clubs. Never played the game.

Morwell has 20% unemployment. Moe 15%. We lost 10,000 jobs in the mid 90s when the SEC was corporatised, then privatised by Kennett, long may that [censored] rot in hell. It's a good point you make that it's the flow on effect on all the associated local businesses.
That sort of consequence takes time to show up though, and by then the news cycle has moved on.

So what's new around here? Been a 'bit busy' of late but should be back on the bike again soon - and not just the ol' push bike either. Finally got around to getting my US motorcycle license so I can get back on a sportsbike again soon. BMW S1000RR on order - should be here in a week or so.

Kinda sobering that I could lose my license on the freeway and go to jail and not even shifted into second gear. :eek:
