He's a gun and has had a very good career. Some big one day wins, multiple stages in all the grand tours, a green jersey, U23 worlds and stage wins in multiple prestigious week long races are proud achievements. Most riders would kill for his palmares.

The only things his career is lacking are a monument or classic win like Fleche Wallonne, Amstel or Gent Wevelgem (he's been close, should have won Sanremo last year), a yellow jersey and possibly the pro world's (also been close). If he gets one of any of those it would be a crowning achievement.

Thanks. Yeah, bummer he couldn't get at least a couple of Classic wins. I was also spewin when Vogels got 2nd in Gent in 2003, then there are all the Classic podiums Anderson got while only getting a few 'big' one-day wins. I just had a quick count on Wikipedia. Without checking it again, he got 4 or 5 second places and four 3rds in the top Classics.

Anderson is way way underrated. Should have won Liege or Flanders. He won Paris-Tours (run then as Creteil-Chaville) when it was a much more prestigious race than now. On the old Super Prestige Pernod trophy it carried the same points as the so-called monuments.

The prestige of these races waxes and wains. Fleche Wallonne was more prestigious than Liege at one point in time.

How does the C35 ride? I wouldn't mind getting a Master steel one day.

He doesn't ride the C35, display only. He has about 12 bikes he rides on rotation.

I've got an aluminium Colnago. A Dream. Columbus Airplane tubing with the gilco shape. Early ones are different tubing. Later ones have a carbon rear end.

I have the perfect opening day. Morwell!

Start in Phyllis Street. I grew up there. We had to own a Valiant to live in the street. Around to Winifred St, theres some incredible wog houses there. Straight into Church st, which is so woggy someone replaced the street sign with a Lygon st sign in the late 80s which generated much lols. I go to the deli on the corner and everyone in there is speaking some weird Calabrian or Sicilian dialect. We even had the pizza parlour blow up there, which may or may not have been mafia related.

From there, a quick loop past the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Morwells version of il Duomo. It even has a nunnery. I went to an Italian Funeral there once and had no idea what the [censored] was going on. Latin and Italian only, waving candles around and all that stuff.

Then around the back of the Top Pub past all the wog houses in Rachel Way to 4 Cavan Court, which contains Victoria’s woggiest house. Have a look on google maps if you don’t believe me. I met the old wog who owns it. He’d be 4’ 11” max. He told me saw Coppi and Bartali race before he emigrated. No [censored]. I think they kicked him out of Italy for embarrassing them all for being too much of a wog. Then up the steep Crinigan Road, after passing Morwell Falcons Soccer club. The rumour was the clubs benefactor was Capo di Tutti Capi of the Oz Cosa Nostra. Wogs loved Falcons when they were in the National Soccer League. Finish on Princes Drive outside the Italian Australian Club for a massive bunch sprint.

This would be more Italian than holding the Giro in Italy.

What Leongatha people do with their strange religious mushroom murder rituals is just [censored] weird and should be kept on the other side of the Strezlecki ranges. Leongatha is not local. It's somewhere Morwell Tigers play footy once a year, or the place that slows you down going to the beach at Inverloch.

Anyone else watch the last mountain stage of the Giro and wonder "what the hell are Carapaz and del Toro doing?" All I can fathom is that both DS's were busy watching YouPorn and the riders regressed to the level of Chimpanzee's that laugh at each other when they diddle the others butthole.

I listened to this video by Chris Horner's video about it. One reason, he reckons, is that there was a big chance they weren't told that Wout van Aert was up the road
