  1. Thanks Lee. It has to do with my height really. They
measured me at the meeting and got 5'8", but at home when I
measure I am not quite that? And it is very important to me
to have a normal BMI. Don't ask me why. So I feel very good
    about the 159

  2. When I'm honest, I know I'll never be a "normal" eater. I've
tried that route enough times before to know it for a fact.
    Doesn't mean I don't wish it were otherwise. Doesn't mean I
don't pretend it to be otherwise sometimes. Doesn't mean I'm
not seduced on occasion by thoughts of being a "normal"
eater someday. Based on my own previous experience with
weight loss, and even recent experience, when I start
feeling a bit too confident, I'm in trouble. This has to be
a way of life for me.

That's just me, though. As you say, everyone has to figure
    this out for her/himself.

  4. Hey, we are among friends (except on WI day (G)). No, I
    appreciate your take on it.

I put "normal" in quotes since I may be a thin person now
but that does not mean NORMAL. So I guess the real
question/issue is if I can do WW for Life without attending
meetings like some of the online folks who don't go to
meetings. Again, not ready to cut the LIFEline just yet.

Hmmm, now that I think about it.... What happens of one
does not WI for a month or two or 6 as Lifetime. Can one
just attend even if WEIGHT is in the range? I guess you
have to pay for that 'first' wi after a too long break. I
guess I have my Lifetime card and maybe we are registered
    in the WW-book-in-the-sky! (G)

  7. Might be nice but alas, there are no pills, just yet, that
allow quick weightloss or terminate snacking

  8. Yeah, I want to know what happens if one has their weight

I put "normal" in quotes since I may be a thin person now
but that does not mean NORMAL. So I guess the real
question/issue is if I can do WW for Life without
attending meetings like some of the online folks who
don't go to meetings. Again, not ready to cut the
    LIFEline just yet.

Hmmm, now that I think about it.... What happens of one
does not WI for a month or two or 6 as Lifetime. Can one
just attend even if WEIGHT is in the range? I guess you
have to pay for that 'first' wi after a too long break. I

Since I still go to meetings weekly, the first step, if
I even take it, would be to cut that back to monthly or

for the moment, I will continue to go weekly and just
wait for another vacation or whatever to break it

  12. You and Joyce and others have inspired the question for me -
not yet an answer but at least, the question that some find
    meetings unnecessary.

Again, I don't think that I have dropped all ill-conceived
behaviors and so watching and mentally if not "writtenly"
    calculated will be necessary.

  15. The differences between individuals is what makes us
individual. One reason I'm doing so well this time is that
I'm NOT going to meetings. I'm at the extreme end of
Introvert, so being around all those people de-motivates me.
In my previous weight loss efforts, I've never gone as far
as I have this time, and I'm still motivated to continue.
Even in Overeaters Anonymous, my last most successful
effort, I got down to the mid-170s and then froze with
anxiety. I just got to the point where I couldn't face
people every week with my food issues. Yet I find the
support of others, such as the folks in this NG, to be
invaluable. Daily point tracking online and communicating
here are my rules. I'm pretty sure I'll always need to do
some sort of journaling after I reach goal, whether it's WW
Online or a food tracking software such as Diet Power. I
have a feeling I'll always need the support of others, too.

As soon as I make myself go, I lose. That was why I made
that Rule for myself this last time. Go Forever, and get to
    goal so it's free......

    the meetings.

  16. I NEED the meetings, not sure why, and honestly I decided I don't care why
anymore, they help me lose and I accepted that I will go forever. I have
done WI 72 consecutive weeks, I did not stay one time, that week was the
worst one I had since starting WW, I am shocked by all of this as I
generally do not like crowds, and am not a joiner by nature. But it works
and that is what counts, Lee

  17. Yes. I think you've hit on something here that I hadn't
quite sussed out for myself. Having control over my
environment is very important to me. Especially when it
comes to matters of vulnerability. I'll keep the reasons why
    to myself for now.

Here I choose my level of openness, and even when I am
exposing aspects of my deepest self (which I haven't yet!

Thanks for the gift of your wisdom Lee. You are greatly

The differences between individuals is what makes us
individual. One reason I'm doing so well this time is
that I'm NOT going to meetings. I'm at the extreme end of
Introvert, so being around all those people de-motivates
me. In my previous weight loss efforts, I've never gone
as far as I have this time, and I'm still motivated to
continue. Even in Overeaters Anonymous, my last most
successful effort, I got down to the mid-170s and then
froze with anxiety. I just got to the point where I
couldn't face people every week with my food issues. Yet
I find the support of others, such as the folks in this
NG, to be invaluable. Daily point tracking online and
communicating here are my rules. I'm pretty sure I'll
always need to do some sort of journaling after I reach
goal, whether it's WW Online or a food tracking software
such as Diet Power. I have a feeling I'll always need the
    support of others, too.

  18. Continue ruminating and eventually, discernment will come.

Maybe experiment with going 2x a month, or 1x a month. Once
a month is all WW expects for lifetimers, and you're still
attending weekly. So perhaps cutting back on the meetings
now that you're at goal wouldn't automatically be considered
"ill-conceived." Of course, only you know that for sure.

    Fred said:

You and Joyce and others have inspired the question for me
    - not yet an answer but at least, the question that some
    find meetings unnecessary.

Again, I don't think that I have dropped all ill-conceived
behaviors and so watching and mentally if not "writtenly"
    calculated will be necessary.

  20. the good thing here is that if you decide to experiment, you can. if you
decrease or stop going, you can always restart that is the beauty of this
plan. Just find out about what you need to do to rejoin and then
experiment, so what if not going doesn't work for you, you learned and you
    go back, Lee
