@MintID: what do you mean with beginner class , by the way? I'm totally slashed with that expression and seeing your 4,78W/kg . Come on, tell me this is just a typing error
Hoping to be at Bright this year toograhamspringett said:Tour of Bright, the last 32km go up Mt Hotham. Should be a nice view from the top if I can still see by then!
In Denmark you have to start in Beginner, then C - B - Abigwillie013 said:@MintID: what do you mean with beginner class , by the way? I'm totally slashed with that expression and seeing your 4,78W/kg . Come on, tell me this is just a typing error
I'm not pretty sure it works in that way since, given that power drops of 5% each time the duration doubles. 370,5 to me looks more as the 40MAP, I guess a fairly bet would be x 0,92.MintID said:did 20minutes with avg power of 390 and NP of 392.
390 x 0, 95 = 370,5 / 77.5 = 4,78
Congrats to Katharine (or is it Catharine)?kclw said:KP....................275W.......49kg....5.61W/kg 4th place finisher womens olympic MTB
Just to up-date as to what it takes to just about medal at the olympics.
I am sure Absalon is over 6. I know Roland was well over 6 at his peak.strader said:That's pretty damn impressive. Absalon must be pushing 6+ in order to ride away from the field like that.
Hopefully I'll be able to post an update soon before the start of cyclocross season. I just did a 22 minute hillclimb at 309 watts (310 NP), which I am really happy about since I've been stagnant at about 303 watts since march (but still within the margin of error for the PT ).
kclw said:It goes to show you that watt per kilo isn't everything, absolute wattage is important.

Using an SRM. It was the average power for the first hour of an hour and 15 minute hill climb.acoggan said:So how was that value for functional threshold power obtained? (Just curious...it's right in-line with what I'd expect based on other data, e.g., http://www.cyclingpeakssoftware.com/power411/profile.asp)
0.95 is often used however it can range from 0.92 - 0.98.swampy1970 said:So, for the 'guestimate' from a 20 minute test, do I multiply by .9, .93 or .95 - there seems to be a few different values being used for this one.

Thou shalt always use the latest list to update as well - by using an old one you've wiped out more recent updates....swampy1970 said:Thou shalt not post results whilst still feeling like ****.
