TONBRIDGE, England - British police investigating an $87 million bank heist said Friday that they were examining a white transit van in connection with the robbery, and confirmed that the vehicle contained cash, though they did not say how much.

The robbery — Britain’s biggest and most audacious — was carried out before dawn on Wednesday with military-style precision: One gang abducted the cash depot manager’s family while another tied up guards and made off with up to $87 million. The robbery bore striking similarities to a 2004 heist in Northern Ireland and to the new movie “Firewall," police said.

London - British police on Thursday announced they had found another large stash of money as they continue to investigate the country's largest cash robbery.

Detectives with Kent police announced that a stack of currency recovered in a garage in the town of Southborough on Sunday was worth £8,6-million. The location is three kilometres from the Securitas depot in Tonbridge, Kent, which is about 60km south-east of London.

They've recovered the money as you say.

Looks like the £26m Belfast Northern Bank job is still the undisputed biggest
robbery in Britain!
