On a cycling related note: No matter how much I twiddle trying to
align the calipers perfectly straight to the rotor or adjust the in-
board and out-board calipers to their peak position - it's been a good
long while since the front brake was capable of routinely lifting the
rear wheel off the ground on demand.
It's a much more spongey (and lengthy) kind of braking I get now. I
guess the original cable is well over half a year old now - would that
make it a candidate for routine replacement?
I also see there are some pretty tofty looking dedicated mech. disc
cables on the market now, i.e. Avid Full Metal Jacket, Avid Flak
Jackets, etc. Any views on these, the marketing looks a bit heavy on
the B.S. but they may have some merit?
Thanks,
Duncan
