> Is he really in good enough form to go up against Freire and Boonen?
He was in good enough shape to place in the top 3rd in the Prologue. How
that translates to sprinting after enduring many hard hours in the saddle is
anybody's guess at this point. We'll know by Tuesday. And if he's able to
haul himself over Mt. Hamilton and Sierra Road on Wednesday, count me as
someone very impressed with the benefits of retirement. But Wednesday's a
LONG way away.
