I like the mtb a LOT more. Wrestling is a good natured sport, but
kickboxing is all about strutting and attitude. And s, which I
never bought into. Not the fake ones at least. The scars are my

Yeah, I hung up all that stuff many, many years ago.

I got some good stories about my old dojo, though. Like almost getting my
    ass kicked by this dude

No shame in that. I was thrown in the ring as fresh meat against this gal
who was ranked second in ISKA to help get her ready for a fight. She didn't
"fight like a girl" and after futile attempts at evasion, I definitely
wanted to run away and cry for my mama! Or just fall down and pretend to be
    knocked out

  2. I have to admit that in all my falls I've either
    a) bounced straight off the tree/rock/car/whatever OR
    b) slid along the ground for a few metres (often on my face with a bike
    on top of me)
and I've never broken/fractured a bone EVEN THOUGH I only weigh a measly
85 KG and I'm one of those long & tall bodytypes and I'm "a bit on the
thin side" lol. Each time though I went into a roll or breakfall of some
kind, techniques I learned in various Dojo's. So I'm going to have to
disagree with this theory of "big burly dudes don't break bones", but
that could be just me maybe I've just got the Rubbery Bone Gene. I live
in Tasmania BTW, so the terrain isn't flat & cruisy by any means. I will
agree that people who don't work on their upper bodies certainly lack
the lower body strength of the All-Rounders and possibly even get
fatigued at a faster rate, but that could also be just a dietary thing.
I'm not sure if my few personal observations contribute anything but I
    hope so 🙂
Good thread btw, I like this sort of thing
