I am considering putting together a road bike. For long distance rides.
I like the look of Bianchi but I am also considering LOOK's carbon frames as they can be custom built here in Melbourne. They are incredibly light-weight and I am wondering if anyone has experience with them after 1000's of kms. I don't want a bike that is going to snap under pressure.
I realise I won't be doing anything quite as extreme as the Tour de France (not for a while ;) )
But I am not convinced necessarily that what can be bought off the rack, custom or not, is what is being ridden in le Tour or elsewhere.

Any comments, experiences, appreciated.

I've got a Bianchi (steel)..admittedly about 3 or 4 years old now. Been a good bike, but I have heard from a couple of people that the more recent ones are not what they used to be.

For what it's worth. Regards.]
