I have an old Nashbar rack that I'm having trouble fitting to a touring
frame. The stays (or whatever you call those flat pieces of grooved,
twisted metal that mount to the seatstays), are a bit too short.
Additionally, the left one needs to bend inward around the noodle of the
v-brake, then back to the outside of the seatstay to where the rack boss is.
Anyone have any good suggestion for hardware store remedies to this problem?
Isn't this connection simply for stabilization of the load, and doesn't need
to be super strong?
