I get on this kick every year or so...maybe it's too much coffee..

Brooks saddle width go something like this:

B.17-N@152 ==> Team Pro@160 ==> B.17@170 ==> ProS@177=========> B.72@210.

Granting that part of width diffs is the riders position (sitting vs aero), there are still pelvic
width differences between people.

The dents made by my sit bones are about 5" center-to-center - which puts them at the outside edge
of a 170mm saddle. Not *too* bad if the saddle's entire width is usable, but not quite right either.

Something 185-190 would probably be perfect.

I can't be the only one.

Shouldn't there be a size or two between 177 and 210?

Before anybody hastens to point out some of the many saddles that actually *seem* measure
something like that, let me add that I'm not particularly in love with Brooks - it's just that on
that type of saddle the entire width is usable; whereas on plastic saddles, you have to look
underneath and subract the width of the rigid reinforcing areas around the edge of the saddle to
get the usable width.
