Hello,

I am a Detective from the Sunshine Coast Break and Enter unit in
Queensland. Over the past few months there have been two expensive
road bikes stolen from the Caloundra area. All leads up here have
been exhausted and it is possible that the bikes have been transported
interstate. The purpose of this email is to alert your various clubs/
groups that may have come across or have some knowledge of these
bicycles. Apart from contacting every bicycle store in Australia, I
thought this may be a better alternative and possibly something posted
on your site. Also if you know of any other sites that deal with
stolen bicycles etc it would be appreciated.

The first bike stolen was a 2006 "Cervelo" P3 carbon road bike, black/
red in colour, with tri bars. The bike had Zipp 606 wheels and carbon
drink bottle cages attached. Serial No. C6P3CADA54. The bike was
stolen from Chancellor Cycles, Warana on the 14/3/2007.

The other bike was a 2007 Trek Madonesl5.9 and was blue in colour,
black forks and has SRM power meter krank stickers on cross bar. The
bike belonged to Swiss triathlete Sebastian GACOND who was training at
Caloundra. Apparently there are only limited few in Australia of this
type. The bike was stolen from the unit complex garage on the
8/4/2007.

I would appreciate any assistance or possible avenues that you may be
able to suggest to locate these bikes.

Photos of the bikes are attached.

Thanks
