What's your favorite? Informal poll

Clearly I'm missing out on something great. Time to start
mowing lawns and shoveling driveways for the several hundred
USD's needed for any half-decent muni.

Funny how in this forum, no one thinks it's weird if someone says, "I
tacoed my giraffe..."

poll IMHO.

The perfect type of unicycling is a 4-12 or more week
foreign trip, with both a Muni and a Coker at your disposal.
Some sections of a few weeks of touring followed by some
interesting mountaineering with Muni. And then some more
touring, etc. Actually, why ever stop? When we did this on
bikes, it seemed that at about 4 to 4 1/2 months, it was
time for a change.

Oh, and a trials uni for fun around the campsite every
night. Freestyle would only come into play when visiting a
unicycle club that had a gym.

Couldn't agree more! Except maybe a 29er MUni with epicyclic
hub that can be swiched to 1.5 mode for distance, then 1:1
for sifting around the streets or MUni riding with. That
would be my dream machine. And it would be so easy to pack
and travel with.

Only 6 weeks before I ride from Vietnam to Cambodia :p

No one has voted lately. Come now, we must have more than 43
people out there, don't we?

Here's what I have for a tally:

Offroad riding (MUni) -- 19 Trials -- 10 Street -- 5
Freestyle (indoors) -- 4 Riding and juggling -- 2 Distance
riding (27, 29, Coker) -- 1 Racing -- 1 MUni distance racing
-- 1 Giraffe riding -- 0 Ultimate Wheel -- 0 Hockey -- 0
Basketball -- 0

By the way, this wasn't set up as a poll for a very good
reason: I don't know how to do that.

Also, I wanted people to add options. Is that possible with
a poll, or are you stuck with the options given? (If you
vote in a poll, is it anonymous, or can you tell who voted
for what?)

Aren't there any devoted hockey or basketball players
out there?

Speaking of Squirt Guns, seems like Utah would be a great
location for some uni water games. I suppose some people
would welcome the chance to beat all the little kids who
creamed him during the game in Seattle.

Definitely MUni. More of medium distance MUni. I mean
something between 10-20 miles, depending on how rough the
terrain is. And now I'm a 20 years old geezer.

And why younger people prefer trials. Around ages 10-16 I
didn't like any long distance riding, but now it's what I
want to do. Back then I thought it was dull. I enjoyed
trying some jumps on my bike a lot more than riding 20 miles
on it. It might have something to do with showing off to
your friends too. It was a lot cooler to say "I jumped over
a 2' obstacle yesterday", than to say "I rode 50 miles
yesterday."

edit. MUni = 20

MUni - 23

I haven't been able to ride MUni for a little over five
months but when I finally got back out into the woods
yesterday on my beloved Dragon MUni complete with its new
Bedford flames on both the outside and inside of the forks,
riding ROCKED!

Gotta love MUni! It has it all: go long distances if you
have the terrain and trails for it, do trials moves along
the way or as needed and just plain have the most fun you
can imagine on One Wheel.:D

If variety is the spice of life then this is a tough
question to answer. Lately my Trials, Freestyle, and MUni
all get frequent use. The Coker and 700c a bit less. How can
one say they have a favorite child?

But to answer the question I vote MUni.

Good for you Erin!!!

Like Erin, I have been off my wheel for a several months
now and I have a few more months to wait, but MUni is
definitely what floats my boat. I feel like an impatient
kid waiting for a holiday. It's really going to be great
when I can ride again!

Cheers, Jason
