Poll: Hating America

hairsuit budget time so.

Pull the plug on the strip of Middle East, real estate ?
$12 billion (per year) should be able to finance a few new fighters.
They could buy the F-16's back off the SOI, and give them some catapults and bits of broken concrete to make a fair land fight. In fact I would hazard a guess and say that they were leased. Not sure that $12 would make more than
2 F-22's. I can't remember exactly the projected cost, but I couldn't believe it, and this was on bloody good programme. Anyway feck all that Bush said he's setting up a space mission to colonise Mars. In my opinion it's the best place for him, just make sure he's in Challenger.

3. Hell no.
I like your style but, our politicians decisions, in the recent past, have left alot of europeans wondering about our priorities.

I heard that the "mar's statement" might have been a response to what the russians (Putin) said about it.

No I dont hate america, absolutly not! I am fasinated with it's history. All that took place here, from the revolution to present day. There are some beutiful places and neat people here in america. How could you hate america? BUT, there are a lot of stupid people in america, and It definatly has 2 sides to it. For one thing I dont like the president too much.

Putin never said anything about sending anything to Mars. I got the impression that Bush was doing a take out from Reagans Star wars concept. Over there in the USA you can't afford to build F-22 Raptors, and you haven't got the money to develop Challenger. How the effing hell is all this involved. You lot haven't colonised the Moon yet. Walter Mitty, Walter Mitty, Dan Dare, Bible thumping trekkies. No wonder the world laughs at you lot. Biggest Terrorist in the world is Bush.

Trash. Why were the indigenous tribal Indians systematicly murdered in an ethnic cleansing policy, The buffalo slaughtered, and the passenger pigeon exterminated. It seems that these stupid people are still in charge. Defend Asshole.

Are any of you presently aware of a frosty relationship between the E.U. and Russia of late?
Haven't been in Russia for a while but I'm aware the Russians are feeling quite provoked over the incorporation of Estonia and Latvia into the E.U. and the whole idea of NATO troops so close to Russian borders.
I think the E.U. hasn't been too tactful over its decision to question the elections in the Ukraine. It may well be these elections are open to some doubt but I believe Putin is furious that the E.U. wants to gain even more old Soviet territory. The fact is, a lack of tact could trigger off a growth in ultra-nationalist tendencies in Russia.
The strange thing is, Putin feels more comfortable with George W Bush than he does with Europe which surprises me. In fact Putin wanted Bush to win the last election and angrily rebuffed some BBC journalists who questioned him over human rights issues in Chechnya. So far as I know, the U.S. decided to tacitly back Russia over Chechnya (given the fact Chechnyan militants are now in Fallujah).

I cannot for the life of me work out where you are coming from, or going to on this post. I don't think it is anywhere near your normal standard. I can't think of an impasse between Russia and the EU of any magnitude. How can Russia be aggrieved by the inclusion of Estonia and Latvia (you missed out Lithuania) into the EU, when the process of incorporation has been going on for years. The proximity of NATO troops is of no relevance whatsoever. They were all independent countries previously. The Ukrainians are disputing the election results today 26th Nov all by themselves. The Russian government allowed a European team of specialists to get the 'Kursk' off the bottom of the Barent Sea, although I did read somewhere that the USA funded in total, or part, thereof. The fact of the matter is that the Russian Government entrusted this unique task to Smit-Tak-Mammoth from the Nederlands, and I don't remember Americans being involved. It just proves again that Bush and his advisors were wrong in poking their polemic noses into politics which are no concern of theirs. I'll bring you back to the thread... Poll hating America...Yep, poking their nose in business that is no threat, or concern to them.

A new book called "Hating America: The New World Sport" suggests a couple of things. First, that the U.S. is generally hated by the world. Second that our historic allies are not our friends.

Questions:
1. Where are you from?
2. Do you hate the U.S.?
3. Did we deserve to be attacked on 9/11?

1. Chicago, IL
2. No, I have nothing but love.
3. Absolutely not, and no country deserves anything like that. Not ever. My only regret is that wished I stayed longer in the Marine Corps to help my fellow soldiers.

Let those other countries hate me, I don't care. I would still die to defend their freedoms if I have to. No questions or qualms about it. "For Those Who Fought For It Freedom Has A Flavor the Protected Will Never Know." :)

You're completely bonkers. Keep off the turkey, you've probably got salmonella poisoning. Just stay with the Mad Cows from the Chicago stockyards.

1. I'm from Israel.
2. I do not hate the US, but there is a lot I *really* don't like about it.
3. Even if the US was an enemy - of course it is not - I wouldn't dream of such nonsense. Still, the US government and flight companies failed miserably in previous years, since the information was available and the required steps very simple. This is called negligence.

Fighting terror mainly means preventing it. There is no tangeable enemy to attack. Do you really believe that catching Bin-Ladden will make any difference? The only active step you can take is going after terror funding and infrastructure.

Well said Itsik, vey Shabat Shalom. Your posts are always sensible. I think what interests us most of all is what is the general propositions and conjecture among the ordinary citizens of Israel since the death of Yasser. Still riding I hope in the winter. Lilatov.

Well in that case I have a captive bolt pistol and a rod, please line up nicely when it's your turn in the stall.

I love the U.S., september 11th attacks are nonsense. bin laden attacked due to the fact of when Iraq invaded Kuwait in the 1990. Bin Laden asked the Royal Saudis to let him help drive Hussien out. but the saudis turned to us. I do dislike our presidents ways of getting things done. i truly believe he is a good man, but he simply is not getting the job done when it comes to foreign, and even more importantly domestic policy.

But to hate the United States of America is to hate what the generations of americans before us so proudly fought for. thinks of all the good we have done to in this world. i have had family in every single war since ww2. those men who died, died for our right of free will. if you hate the U.S. you should leave, move to another country and see how much better ours is. how much easier we have it than in africa, or south america, or some depressing 3rd world country.
