According to several German and Swiss media UCI vice-president Hein Verbruggen is animating the Relax-GAM squad with riders like Oscar Sevilla, Angel Vicioso and Francisco Mancebo to request a Pro-Tour license. Asked for an reaction ASO boss Leclerc said Verbruggen will do anything to harm the Tour....

Relax-GAM is also negatiating with Roberto heras about a contract for 2008.

How does this play into the plans of the GT organizers, who have said that next year they will only have sixteen invitations for ProTour teams? Which, if any, ProTour teams are expected to disolve next season?
