I learned when I was 10; my Dad helped me perfect my cycling skills before it was safe to start biking on the road. I'm kind of grateful, he did as I crashed into a tree a couple of times when I was first learning how to ride. If I was crashing against stationary objects, imagine up against cars, hehe.
